So I will end up needing to have ways to describe items regardless of the Gold Box game. That is one of the things I am currently working on, making a Gold Box Item class that supports items from different games.

I plan to do the same with items as well. So what I have made is a Gold Box character class to hold character information regardless of which Gold Box games the character comes from. or at least files inspired by DTOs which stands for data transfer objects, used when working with APIs maybe an API an app might use to get files from a database, or how an app that uses an API.

One of the things I have done to prepare this to be possible to use with several Gold Box games on several systems is I designed some "DTO" files. My plans now is to add support for more games and polish the UI of the app.

The Gold Box Companion does already have some pretty good character and item editor features though, so if I add such features it would mainly be to play around with the idea and to learn more about the Gold Box games.įeel free to give some feedback or ideas for features to add.
